Edward CoxNuffield Australia 2010 scholarship winnerWestern Australian dairy farmer Edward Cox has been awarded the 2010 Nuffield Scholarship supported by Dairy Australia and the Australian Dairy Conference to study fodder production and dairy nutrition. Edward and wife Kate own and operate a large-scale dairy business in the southwest of the Western Australia, milking up to 900 cows, with a 60-stand, fully automated rotary dairy. They have also diversified into grain haulage. Edward plans to visit New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the US to look at different fodder production systems and intensive feeding strategies, including the efficiency of feed conversion to milk solids. 729 Price Rd |
